The Champaign County Animal Welfare League, Inc., CCAWL, was formed in the early 2015 after the passing of Mr. David Robert Wetzell.  Mr. Wetzell, Bob, as he was known, left specific instructions in his Last Will and Testament along with a substantial Trust that was to be used to purchase a suitable secluded farm in Champaign County, Ohio to establish and operate under the auspices of the Champaign County Animal Welfare League, and animal preserve, pet cemetery, dog training facility and rehabilitation home for unwanted pets.
The Champaign County Animal Welfare League, Inc., purchased a secluded 72 acre farm in eastern Champaign County.  The farm is the new home of the Champaign County Animal Welfare League.  On this property there will be a preserve, a cemetery to spread ashes of lost pets, a training and rehabilitation facility as well as a main adoption facility.  The property will also be accessible for members and will have trails, dog parks, and ponds where families, individuals and their pets can enjoy the secluded acreage and scenic views.  There will also be picnic areas for members to enjoy a full days experience.
The dreams and visions of Mr. David Robert Wetzell are being brought to life and will be continued on for many years to come....
